The wonderful world of the whiskey cocktails

Good evening dear friends of Zenzero!

Today we bring you a beautiful recipe for a fabulous, autumnal DRINK!

It will be really nice to be able to prepare it right at home. Quick and easy, it only needs a few very simple ingredients. Speaking of simplicity we want to launch in this early fall, a great whiskey-based cocktail.

Yes, you got it right. A drink with whiskey!

The fabulous distilled beverage is very suitable for mixing into a cocktail, much more than you might think.

Before I reveal the recipe let me give you a specification: the word “Whisky” refers mainly to spirits produced in Canada and Scotland. While the spelling “Whiskey” refers to those produced in Ireland or the United States. Warm is the invitation to choose the duly appropriate way of writing!

Usually, in our collective imagination, whiskey is a super alcohol to be drunk neat or on the rocks in a sparkling low tumbler. Certainly the U.S. filmography has stamped a definite mark on our memory in this regard, but it is forbidden to be a generalist on the Zenzero Blog. Then we go with the recipe for the fabulous BROWN HORSE’S NECK, a Zenzero reinterpretation of Horse’s Neck drink.

INGREDIENTS:

• 4 cl of American Burbon Whisky
• 2 drops of Angostura Bitter
• Ginger ale to fill
• 4 ice cubes

Glass: tall tumbler
Preparation technique: build
Garnish: orange peel

PROCEDURE:

In a glass, previously chilled, pour ice.

Next add the drops of Angostura, directly onto the cubes and wait for all the ice pieces to be touched by the bitter. Highly recommend the orange angostura!

Pour in the Burbon, straight from the measuring cup.

Mix well with a long spoon and finally add the Ginger Ale until the Tumbler is full.

We know that the original version of this drink calls for Brandy, but the round taste of Burbon gives the cocktail a stronger flavor and a very unique aroma.

A few small steps to have a light drink with the pungent smell of whiskey!
